The Broadway production of Chess, which ran April-June 1988. It received a lot of criticism and bad reviews, especially since it was very different from its better liked original production still running in the West End. It did, however, get Tony nominations for David Carroll and Judy Kuhn for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively.
