The Season for Dreaming

Somehow my post has become Tumblr-famous… Every time I refresh my dashboard there’s like 10 more notifs for that thing.

Matty and Bobby definitely deserve the recognition, I’m just a little freaked out — if I had at all expected this would happen, I would’ve included, you know, some more actual information about who they are and what they were doing and where to find out more about them. For the record, since there are a lot of comments about this: no, they aren’t dating, they’re just friends.

Also it is very sweet though I can imagine at that point they felt pretty miserable physically. They weren’t allowed to sleep, all they could “eat” was drinking through straws, they had to stand in that small area, there were no breaks, and they couldn’t wear adult diapers or anything — if they had to pee, well… It really was an impressive feat of endurance for a couple of average college students all in the name of sending a positive message. I admire them for that — I watched hours and hours of the live feed and it may not seem exciting, but, well, like I said on Twitter, I think I know how sports fans feel now :P

And I hope that photographer doesn’t mind their photo getting all over Tumblr now. (Though I did link to the source, at least.)

Edit: In the time it took me to write that, it jumped to 500 notes :P

Awesome photo of Bobby and Matty when it was announced that they’d passed the current longest kiss record (of 32 hours and 7 mins). Matty started crying. Incredible moment.
