Gen I included so many creative pokemon designs, such as:

  • a literal sphere that evolves into a larger sphere
  • a seal with a horn
  • a bat that evolves into a larger bat
  • three different amorphous blobs
  • a snake
  • eggs
  • a rock with arms
  • a jaggedy rock with arms
  • a large smooth rock with arms

My personal favourite would be
